Meet Jules

Welcome. I’m Jules, speech pathologist and founder of Aphasia Connect Adult Speech Pathology.

Working with people with aphasia and their families has profoundly shaped my practice. I am continually inspired by the resilience and strength of those I support, and I deeply value being part of their journey.

I approach therapy with compassion and connection, creating a space where clients feel heard and supported. I trust each client knows their life best, allowing therapy to be tailored to what matters most to them. I see every client bringing strengths, skills, and potential to their therapy journey, even if they have yet to discover them.

Experiencing a stroke and aphasia can challenge a person’s assumptions about their life, their identity, and plans for the future. I work in partnership with clients to strengthen communication, supporting a life shaped by their goals, strengths, and priorities.

My Path to Aphasia Connect

Bringing this service to life has been a journey of passion and purpose.

Over my career, I’ve worked with adults living with neurological conditions across hospital and private-practice, gaining extensive knowledge and a deep appreciation for therapy that supports meaningful participation.

In 2025, I established Aphasia Connect Adult Speech Pathology - a practice dedicated to supporting people and families living with aphasia after stroke.

Aphasia Connect provides opportunities for community participation, raises awareness of aphasia, and delivers therapy centred on what matters most to each person. It is a privilege to support people with aphasia to confidently re-engage with their communities and live life on their terms.
